Italian writer and poet, Giovanni Boccaccio recopied Dante's Divine Comedy, accompanying the work with seven pen drawings representing some of the most famous passages of the Inferno.
With the manuscript Boccaccio proves not only his talent in figurative and literary expression,
but also his activity as Dante's publisher.
